The 3 Days Budongo Chimp Trekking tour takes you to the northwestern part of Uganda where you will explore chimpanzee trekking in Budongo forest and bird watching in within the forest. Budongo central forest is among the most ideal places in Uganda to have a guided bird watching tour safari with over 360 species of birds are recorded in the total area. Our 3 Days Budongo Chimp Trekking begins and ends in Kampala/Entebbe.
Day 1: Transfer to Budongo Forest
After an early breakfast, our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or at your place of residence, and embark on your drive to Budongo forest through passing the Luwero, and later have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking; here you will find both black and white rhinos. After tracking have another stop in Masindi where you will have lunch, and then proceed to Budongo Forest for Chimpanzee trekking.

Day 2: Budongo Chimpanzee Trekking and Bird Watching
Begin your day with morning breakfast, then walk to the forest headquarters for briefing about chimpanzee trekking Dos and Don’ts and thereafter start your primate walk in Budongo Forest guided by well-trained ranger guides. Your walk will expose you to other primates, birds, and different plant species in the forest and once you get into close proximity of one community/party of habituated chimpanzees, you will be allowed one hour of observations and photography, then back for lunch at your lodge.
After lunch, you will embark on bird watching in Busingiro ecotourism sites home to the Royal Mile, one of the top bird-watching tracks in the country with over 360 species of birds are recorded in the total area, including the rare Puval’s Illadopses which is endemic to the region. Others include the Chocolate-backed Kingfisher, Chestnut Crowned Eremomera, Dusky Long-tailed Cuckoo, Yellow-browned Camaroptera, Black-headed Paradise Flycatcher, Slender-billed Greenbul, Lemon-bellied Crombec, Forest Robin and among others.

Day 3: Return to Kampala/Entebbe
Enjoy your breakfast; thereafter embark on your drive to Kampala with en-route lunch in Masindi and then continue with the journey reaching Kampala in the evening.
